I was skeptical at first; a twin-stick shooter on a system that has no analog sticks, but the game feels tight and responsive. there is a good amount of variation in the enemy AI, which keeps you on your toes, and the level up system keeps the game interesting. however, i found the alternate fire on my ship was pretty useless and i didnt bother swaping between them, relying primarily on the standard green shots. the best part of Meteor Blitzis the survival mode, which has a progressive leaderboard that auto-updates your postion as you play, which is incredibly addicive and satisfying. worth five bucks, so i gave it five stars.

Its a game that has relatively simple mechanics, but its very, very fun. Kind of like those old "Asteroid" games where you fly around blasting asteroids to protect earth/a space station/just because theyre there, but very high paced and visually pretty. Definitely worth it for the price.

Checked this out on a reccomendation from a friend. Glad I did. If you like Geometry Wars or Stardust you will love this game.

The controls are simply the best ever for ANY iPhone game. Thats what makes this game appealing also it looks fantastic Why not elaborate on this premise though? For example unique and imaginative boss fights instead of the same boss for every level? And this definitely needs more levels I beat it a bit too fast. Add more content and you have one of the best iPhone games of all time. More levels more weapons and unique bosses please!

Could be a good game if I could get it to work. Paused it once, and its been locked up ever since. Sounds like a major bug.

Although this is listed as an iPad compatible app and is visible in the iPad store - this is not the iPad version.

If your a person who likes fast pace games, youve found your one. This game deals with ultra fast gameplay and some tactics thrown in there as well. The no touch pause feture makes it perfect to let friends play it without getting destroyed in the process. Overall the game is perfect. The only thing I have a problem with is how hot my thumbs get when I cant stop playing

I have been playing this for over a year, and I bought over 150 apps. Yet everytime I feel like playing a good (real)game on my Touch, I almost always pull out this one. "... the best top-down, dual stick shooter on the appstore." - me.

It crashes so frequently its difficult to give this game the praise it would otherwise deserve. Fix that and you have the perfect game for me. As is - it erases my top scores and progress with each crash and it takes some effort to reach the end and wrap it.. Its back to the beginning every time it crashes. NOT GOOD

Cool update to one of the best dual-stick shooters for iOS. Maybe add Game Center for the next update? I do like how the current leaderboards constantly show you where you rank, but the addition of GC would give people a reason to challenge their friends scores.

Good game. But it is not universal, despite being advertised as such. No complaints about the gameplay, but it isnt revolutionary. The gravity gun is a unique touch, though. An update to universal would be appreciated, and only fair. One star could be gained for a new hook in the gameplay to keep me interested, and the other for making the app universal, as advertised.

I still play this game years after buying it. A great dual stick shooter that controls really well.

Ive bought so many games Ive never finished and I keep going back to this one. The controls are smooth and the game is varied enough to keep it interesting. Its great to just "pick up and play" type game, not too complex.

You need to implement a save progress data option! I restored my iphone and now i have to start all over again!

The best game I ever played on iPhone OS: it has great controls, is well balanced, addicting (youll keep playing for months) and very funny. I strongly suggest Meteor Blitz, it definitely is a must have. The lite version has just not quite the taste of full version. For the price, its a steal.
